Hutchinson Area Piano Teachers Association (HAPTA) was organized in late 2007 by Jeanette Krenzin and Judy Blauer. The goals of partnering with the community, advocating for all of the fine arts and teaching in the most professional way possible remain in place today.

2019 Orfeo Duo

A grant from the Kansas Music Teachers Association made possible the November 3rd 2019 Orfeo Duo concert featuring  Dr. Julie Bees, pianist and Dr. Leonid Shukaev, cellist. Both artists are faculty members of Wichita State University. It was held at the Hutchinson Art Center and tickets were free not only to HAPTA piano students but Middle and High School string players as well.
